The first electoral test for Macri’s government

With the participation of the Argentine journalists Silvia Mercado and Nestor Scibona, CADAL set up a new meeting of the Foro Latinoamericano Montevideo. The event took place in the headquarters of the Business School of the University of Montevideo, with Nicolas Lussich, Uruguayan journalist, as the moderator and the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

Silvia Mercado and Nestor Scibona analyzed the current political and economic situation, respectively, before the coming legislative election in Argentina.

The opening of the meeting was in charge of Kristin Wesemann, the representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.

Silvia Mercado is a journalist and writer, author of many books, among which “El inventor del peronismo” and “El relato peronista”, both published by Editorial Planeta. She currently works at Infobae, the main news site of Argentina and the third of the Spanish speaking world. She also leads the program “Operación Masacre” in Buenos Aires’ Radio Ciudad, devoted to books of journalistic investigation.

Gabriel Salvia, chairman of CADAL, Kristin Wesemann, Silvia Mercado, Nestor Scibona, Nicolas Lussich and Ignacio Munyo, professor of economics and Director of the Center of Economics, Society and Business of the IEEM Business school of the University of Montevideo.

Nestor Scibona, Silvia Mercado and Gabriel Salvia participated in the program “A las pruebas me remito”, broadcast in Nuevo Siglo TV and led by the journalist Romina Andrioli.
