Beyond the crisis

For the fourth consecutive year, CADAL organized the Latin American Forum Punta del Este at the Hotel Boutique Awa, counting this time with the participation of Ricardo Lopez Göttig, Nicolas Albertoni and Marcelo Loprete as guest speakers. This time, the goal of the Forum organized in the main Uruguayan beach was to present the 30th edition of ‘Perspectiva’ Magazine and to analyze the topic of its Dossier: ''Beyond the crisis: Ideas for a Changing World''. This activity was sponsored by the newspaper ‘El Pais’ and was moderated by Gabriel C. Salvia, Director General of CADAL.

The forum began with a presentation about "Institutions in Times of Crisis: What we do not repeat of the crisis of the 30’s" by Ricardo Lopez Göttig, Doctor of History, author and brand new officer of CADAL in Uruguay.

Then, Nicholas Albertoni, Researcher of the Department of International Business and Economic Integration of Universidad Católica del Uruguay spoke about "The importance of the economic and commercial openness in a changing world".

Finally, Marcelo Loprete, lawyer, PhD in Business Law and Secretary of the Center for the Opening and Development of Latin America (CADAL), referred to the "economic opportunities in times of crisis and the lessons that Argentina must learn."
