Free Screening of «Milada»

The Václav Havel Institute at CADAL, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Buenos Aires, the undergraduate study program International Relations at Universidad del CEMA, and the Czech Cultural Center of Argentina organized the screening of Milada, directed by David Mrnka, on the 75th anniversary of the execution of the Czech lawyer, human rights defender, and feminist activist.

The screening of Milada, starring Ayelet Zurer and Robert Gant, took place at the UCEMA Auditorium in downtown Buenos Aires.

Prior to the movie Milada, an interview with its director and screenwriter, Czech filmmaker David Mrnka, was shown. The interview was conducted by journalist Jorge Elías as part of the Cuarto de Hora series on CADALTV.

Welcome remarks were delivered by H.E. Jarmila Povejšilová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Argentina; Sybil Rhodes, Director of the undergraduate study program International Relations at Universidad del CEMA and President of CADAL; and Ana Jankú, President of the Czech Cultural Center of Argentina.

Among the attendees were diplomats and members of the Czech community in Argentina.
