The first panel "Listening to Silent Voices: Testimonies of North Korean Defectors" featured presentations by Ms. Yoon-Seo Chae, a North Korean defector, and Ms. Han-Byeol Lee, Director of the North Korea Center for the Enhancement of Human Rights (INKHR).
The speakers of the second panel "Navigating the human rights situation in North Korea and mapping a way forward" were: Ms. Shin-Wha Lee, ambassador for international cooperation in human rights of North Korea, Republic of Korea; Mr. Tomás Ojea Quintana, former UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea; and Mr. Agustín Menéndez, Researcher of CADAL.
The final panel "Analysis of the international discourse on North Korea's human rights: identifying achievements and challenges" featured presentations by Ms. Elizabeth Salmon, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Ms. Lina Yoon, Senior Researcher at Human Rights Watch; and Ms. Hyeonsim Lee, Head of Accountability at Korea Future.
