The first meeting of 2009 of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires, took place with a presentation by journalist Hugo E. Grimaldi on "Dificult times, facing 2009: Political and economic perspectives in an electoral year".

Hugo E. Grimaldi is Journalistic Director at Agencia Diarios y Noticias (DYN), host of the radio show "Diario por Radio" at Radio El Mundo and communications consultant. He formerly served as underdirector of El Cronista Comercial newspaper, he was also host for 10 years of the radio show "Desayuno de Negocios" and host of the economic section at Cable Visión Noticias.

This activity took place at hotel Regal Pacific and among the participants were the ambassadors of Slovenia, Czech Republic and Ireland and officers from the embassies of Austria, United States, Holland, Lithuania, Poland, United Kingdom and Switzerland.
