With the participation of Peter Schiwy (Germany) and Andrés Cañizález (Venezuela) a new edition of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires was organized to analyze the necessity to regulate media for press freedom.
Peter Schiwy is a journalist and lawyer. He has a huge experience as a correspondent and editor of several newspapers, and radio and TV stations. He served as CEO of the most important networks of public and private TV and radio in Germany. Since 1978 he is professor of Law and Media Policy at the German University of Administrative Sciences, Speyer. His main topics of research are: Organizative, regulatory and economic principles of media; Administration of media, media policy, media law and media health. He has published and written several books on media and property rights.
Andrés Cañizález is Doctor in political science, with a masters degree on political science and history in Venezuela. He worked as journalist for more than a decade. He was founder of several free speech organizations in Venezuela. Currently he is professor and researcher at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Caracas). His articles and analysis are weekly published in three Venezuelan newspapers. He is member of CADAL's Academic Council.

This was the first forum moderated by journalist and lawyer Carlos Mira, who from now on will be assisting these meetings.
