A progressive view on the situation of human rights in Cuba

With ocassion of the 7th anniversary of the crackdown on disidentes known as ''Cuban Black Spring'', CADAL organized at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Buenos Aires, the conference ''A progressive view on the situtation of human rights in Cuba'' with the participation of jurist Daniel Sabsay and wellknown journalist Pepe Eliaschev, who both signed the Declaration ''The exercise of righs is no crime'' (in the picture with Graciela Fernández Meijide).

With ocassion of the 7th anniversary of the crackdown on disidentes known as "Cuban Black Spring", CADAL organized at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Buenos Aires, the conference "A progressive view on the situtation of human rights in Cuba" with the participation of jurist Daniel Sabsay and wellknown journalist Pepe Eliaschev, who both signed the Declaration "The exercise of righs is no crime".

Daniel Sabsay is constitutionalist lawyer (Universidad de Buenos Aires), with post graduate studies on Law at Universtité de Droit, d'' Economie et de Sciences Sociales de Paris (Paris II). He has been consultant to different national and international entities like Consejo Federal de Inversiones, CEPAL, National Congress, World Bank and UNDP, among others. Since its foundation on 1985 he is member of Fundación Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (FARN). In the teaching area he speciallized in environmental law and Argentine and comparative constitutional law giving classes at different Universities from Argentina and around the world like Université René Descartes (France), UBA, Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia, Universidad del Salvador, Universidad de Belgrano, Universidad Austral, University Robert Schuman de Strasbourg (France) and University of Texas, Austin (USA) among others. 

Pepe Eliaschev is an Argentine journalist and writer. He began his profession in 1964 and currently is columnist of the papers Perfil, El Día and Popular. Since 2009 he hosts a radioshow at Radio Perfil (Internet) and FM Identidad. He has been radio host since 1979 for the main stations in Argentina. His show Esto que pasa began on December 3, 1985 on Radio Splendid and staid 20 years in the air. For his work he was awarded with the Konex Prizes in 1997 and 2007. He also worked as journalist in Italy, Venezuela, United States and Mexico in media outlets like The Associated Press from New York, l´Europeo, from Milán, Unomásuno, from México and El Diario de Caracas, Venezuela. He graduated from Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires and has a masters degree on International Relations from Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO). When he was 15 he was politically active in socialism, on 1973 he came close to Revolutionary Peronism and was writer of the magazine  El Descamisado, by Peronist Youth. On 1974, he was force to exile in Venezuela after threatens by Triple A.
