The Foro LatinGlobal 2008 with the speakers Jorge Marshall, Eduardo Viola, Raúl Ferro, Felipe Solá, Javier González Fraga and Santiago del Sel took place on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at Centro Cultural Borges in Buenos Aires. The first panel analyzed “Those that are growing in Latin America” and the second panel was dedicated to “Economic policies, rule of law and business environment in Argentina”.
Raúl Ferro, director for the content development of Business News Americas, gave a presentation about “The Latin American stars: The reasons for the success of Peru and Brasil”.
Eduardo Viola, representative of the International Relations Institute of the University of Brasilia and co-author of the book “América del Sur en el mundo de las democracias de mercado”, analized “The rise of Brasil in the region and the world”.
Jorge Marshall, chairman of Expansiva and ex-economy minister of Chile, referred about “What needs Chile to reach development?”
The “Economic policies, juridicial security and business environment in Argentina” was the topic analized by Javier González Fraga, former president of the Central Bank of the Argentinian Republic; Felipe Solá, national deputy and former governer of the Province Buenos Aires; and Santiago del Sel, businessman and chief consultant of the Coalición Cívica.
The first panel was led by Tristán Rodríguez Loredo, chief editor of the magazine Noticias.
The second panel was coordinated by José del Rio, journalistic director of the magazine Apertura.
