The first meeting of the year of Foro Latinoamericano Montevideo took place at the Conventions Center La Torre de los Profesionales with the presentations of H.E. Hans-Ruedi Bortis, Swiss Ambassador in Uruguay, and Tomás Linn, journalist from the weekly Búsqueda. Among the participants of the forum were diplomats from Spain, Costa Rica, Finland, Italy, European Union, Czech Republic and Japan. It was sponsored by Embassy of Switzerland in Uruguay and Conventions Center La Torre de los Profesionales, and supported by El País, hotel boutique Awa from Punta del Este, Cámara Uruguayo Alemana, restaurant Tandory, cerveza artesanal Mastra, hotel Europa from Montevideo, Lagunas del Catedral, Atlas Economic Research Foundation and Jujuy In Apart Hotel from Rosario.
The first presentation was in charge of journalist and writer Tomás Linn, entitled "Two years of the Administration José Mujica: balance and main challenges until the end of his period".
The closure of the event was with the presentation of a "Comparative perspective in state reform". On this regard H.E. Hans-Ruedi Bortis, Ambassador of Swtizerland In Uruguay, presented the characteristics of public administration in his country.
The forum ended with a coktail to cellebrate the 9th anniversary of CADAL: Stefania Pesavento, Executive Assistant of CADAL in Uruguay; Pablo Montado, Chairman of Stock Exchange Market in Montevideo; Horacio Bafico, economist and business consultant; and Yuko Kanto, from the Embassy of Japan.
