CADAL organized at its office a new meeting of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires, with a presentation by Polish economist Ida Musialkowska on "The policy of cohesion of European Union as a model for other international organizations and third countries".
During her speech, Musialkowska analyzed the following subjects: an introduction to the model and principles of EU policy (motives, objectives, instruments) within the ample frame of processes of regional convergence/cohesion. The consequencees for the new member countries, such as Poland (the process of europeization and the institutional and legal changes referred to the realization of such a policy). The use of the model of EU policy as a point of reference for third countries and international organizations (with a focus on the situation of MERCOSUR).
