Ricardo López Murphy is BA in Economics at Universidad La Plata (Buenos Aires - Argentina) and Master of Arts in Economics at Chicago University. He served as Minister of Defense of ARgentian from December 1999 to March 2001 and as Minister of Economics and Infraestructure in March 2001. Consultant for the International Monetary Fund, UND Develpment Program, World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank and Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe. He was consultant and counselor of companies, international investors and financial institutions in Argentina and Latin America. He was Presidential candidate in 2003 and 2007. Currently he is chairman of Fundación Cívico Republicana, where he works in the design of public policies and is political referent of Corriente de Convergencia Federal.
