From Lula's to Dilma's government

With the participation of professor Bernardo Sorj as a guest speaker, CADAL organized a new meeting of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires to analyze ''From Lula's to Dilma's government: Brazilian political dinamics and the challenges for the consolidation of democracy''. Journalist Carlos Mira was in charge of the moderation of the meeting that was sponsored by Bodegas San Huberto and Plataforma Democrática.

With the participation of professor Bernardo Sorj as a guest speaker, CADAL organized a new meeting of Foro Latinoamericano Buenos Aires to analyze "From Lula's to Dilma's government: Brazilian political dinamics and the challenges for the consolidation of democracy".

Journalist Carlos Mira was in charge of the moderation of the meeting that was sponsored by Bodegas San Huberto and Plataforma Democrática.

Bernardo Sorj is director of Centro Edelstein de Investigaciones Sociales and Sociology professor at Universidad Federal de Río de Janeiro. He studied History and Sociology at Haifa University and holds a Ph. D. in sociology from University of Manchester. He was visiting professor in several universities from Europe and the US, being in charge of the lectures Sérgio Buarque in Netherlands at Maison des Sciences de L’Homme and Simón Bolívar at IHEAL/Paris. He is author of books published in different languages on subjects of social theory, Latin America, democracy and jewish culture. Among his most recent books are: “El Desafío Latinoamericano” (with Danilo Martuccelli, siglo XXI, 2008); “La Democracia Inesperada” (Prometeo/Bonagno, 2004) and “Judaísmo para Todos” (Siglo XXI, 2009).
