The displacement of millions of people and the blockade leading to famine constitute clear violations of humanitarian law.
The exact number of victims remains uncertain, but the scale is devastating. Gaza is also virtually closed to international journalism. The deaths of at least 184 Palestinian journalists confirm that the press has been a direct target in one of the deadliest wars for the profession in recent history.
In this context, the announcement of a new settlement in the West Bank —which will further fracture Palestinian territory and bury the two-state solution— shows that Israel is deepening its occupation strategy, disregarding the international community.
