Sébastien Touzé is a professor at the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), director of the René Cassin Foundation, and member of the UN Committee Against Torture. He was the General Secretary of the “Société Française por le Droit International (SFDI).” Professor Touzé holds a Doctorate in Law from the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) and has authored several publications on human rights international law and the European system for the protection of human rights. Professor Touzé has also edited more than 10 books, including the recent book La Cour européenne des droits de l’homme – une confiance nécessaire pour une autorité renouvelée (Pedone, 2016). Sébastien Touzé is head of compliance for the Great East region and member of the Center for Research on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at the University of Panthéon-Assas (Paris II). He is also an associated professor at the Nanterre Center for International Law at the University of Paris Nanterre. Since 2006, he has participated in numerous colloquiums and conferences in France and other countries.
