Human Rights after the Fall of the Berlin Wall

Sponsored by Konrad Adenauer Foundation, CADAL organized the conference ''Human Rights after the Fall of the Berlin Wall: Old and New Challenges'' in Uruguay with keynote speakers Alvaro Garcé and Soledad Garcia Muñóz.

Besides Alvaro Garcé and Soledad Garcia Muñóz, speeches were held by representatives of CADAL, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the head of the Uruguayan parliament.

The conference was opened by the Chairman of CADAL, Gabriel Salvia.

Salvia was followed by the President of the Uruguayan House of Representatives, Gerardo Amarilla.

In his speech, David Brähler, from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Uruguay, referred to the date that remembers the fall of Berlin Wall.

The lecturers invited to analyze the old and new challenges for human rights after the fall of the Berlin Wall were attorney Álvaro Garcé and Soledad García Muñóz from the Inter-American Institute of Human Rights in South America.
