CADAL was founded on February 26, 2003 in the City of Buenos Aires. In October 2022, the DECyT Research Project "The Impact of International Human Rights Law in Foreign Policy" of the University of Buenos Aires School of Law recognized CADAL's work given its historical, coherent and courageous defense of human rights in the area of foreign policy.
The meeting was opened by Gabriel Salvia, General Director of CADAL, and Pamela Malewicz, Undersecretary of Citizen Culture and Human Rights of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
CADAL presented the institutional video "Rebelarse frente a las dictaduras", which highlights that a third of the countries in the world are autocracies and seeks a greater commitment from democratic leaders, especially from those who once had to suffer dictatorships.
Atemporal Trio performed "Forbidden Songs", including "La cigarra", "Desapariciones", "La otra orilla", "Grafiti de amor", "Dinosaurios", "La estaca" and "Nuestro día ya viene llegando", as well as some of their own songs, such as "Barrio abrazame", "Sábado" and "Parlamento". The trio of Cuban musicians ended their concert with "Humanos" by the Argentine duo "Pastoral".
