The meeting was organized by the Program Think Tanks and Civil Societies (TTCSP) of Lauder Institute from Pennsylvania University (United States), the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany), the Ideas for Peace and Fedesarrollo Foundation (Colombia).
This 7th Latin American Think Tanks Meeting under the title “Think Tanks: Helping to manage transitions, trade and confusion in Latin America” was looking to shed light on some of the issues that affect the countries of the region and the difficulties and challenges that study centers have to face.
Hernán Alberro, Programs Director of CADAL, was invited to give his vision as panelist during the session “The rising wave of populism and political polarization and its impact on politics, public policies and the public”.
Also, the Programs Director of CADAL participated in the plenary session “Democracy, Governance and Security” together with María Aceña (CIEN, Guatemala), Jorge Ignacio Guillen (Coexistence, Cuba) and Erika Rodríguez Pinzón (Fundación Alternativas, Spain), under the moderation of Jerónimo Castillo (FIP, Colombia).
