The simple complexity of Venezuelan reality

Perspectiva magazine presents a special edition of 120 pages on the current Venezuelan situation. The content of this edition number 25 of Perspectiva is divided in seven sections, with 31 documents and tens of caricatures showing in the most complete, agile and current, the shades of the Venezuelan reality. For this special edition, among the authors there are important Venezuelan analysts. Besides, there are interviews to Moises Naim, former editor of Foreign Policy; Richard Pipes, American academic, and Laureano Márquez, Venezuelan humorist and journalist.

Perspectiva magazine presents a spacial edition of 120 pages on the current Venezuelan situation. In this number there is a compilation of part of the work of Observatorio de Política y Estrategia de América Latina (OPEAL) - part of the Instituto de Ciencia Política-, complemented with a huge variety of authors mostly from Venezuela who tried - from their own point of view - clarify and explain the political, economic and social reality of the country.

The content of this edition number 25 of Perspectiva is divided in seven sections, with 31 documents and tens of caricatures showing in the most complete, agile and current, the shades of the Venezuelan reality.

For this special edition, among the authors convened by Perspectiva there are important Venezuelan analysts, among them: Trino Márquez, academic director of Centro de Divulgación del Conocimiento Económico (Cedice); Roberto Briceño, sociologyst from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello; Rafael Alfonzo, Chairman of Cedice; Fernando Ochoa Antich, military, lawyer, diplomat and politician; Pompeyo Márquez, politician; Yon Goicoechea, lawyer; Axel Capriles, psychologist; Inés Quintero, historian; Asdrubal Baptista, economist; Juan José Molina, politician; and Isabel Pereira, director of Observatorio de la propiedad.

Moreover, there are interviews to Moises Naím, forner editor of Foreign Policy; Richard Pipes, American academic, and Laureano Márquez, Venezuelan humorist and journalist. The edition complements with caricatures and illustrations from wellknown artists like Rayma, Matador, Pepón, Vicente Martí and Pepe Angonoa.

Perspectiva magazine is edited in Colombia by Instituto de Ciencia Política, with the support of the Center for International Private Enterprise from United States and the collaboration of a network of institutes in different countries of the region. CADAL represents Perspectiva magazine in Uruguay, being in charge of its presentation, distribution and promotion in that country.
