Hernán Alberro, Programs Director of CADAL took part of The Atlas Experience, organized by Atlas Economic Research Foundation between August 5 and 7 at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.
Before the begining of the seminar, Mr. Alberro attended to a lecture by Chris Derry on "How to build a broad and deep donnor base from scratch in a poor locale" where different fundraising tools were presented and discussed for NGO's and think tanks.
The opening of The Atlas Experience was in charge of the main speaker, former Prime Minister of Estonia, Mart Laar, who in the picture appears with Hernán Alberro and Cindy Cerquitella, Coalition Relations Associate at Atlas Economic Research Foundation.
Here, CADAL's Program Director shared a dinner with Marko Paunovic, Executive Director of CLDS (Serbia) and Leonard Liggio from Atlas Economic Reserch Foundation.
Among the panels, there was one dedicated to the Americas with David Boaz, from Cato Institute as moderator, and Mary O’Grady, from The Wall Street Journal; Otto Guevara, former presidential candidate of Costa Rica and Brian Lee Crowley from Atlantic Institute for Market Studies from Canada where the speakers.
Hernán Alberro also met in Toronto with Jordan Dupui, Programs Director at Canadian Institute of International Affaire (CIIA), with whom he exchanged publications and agreed on different ways of cooperation between both organizations.
He also shared a lunch with Kenneth Mills, Director of Latin American Studies Program at University of Toronto to analyze the possibility of coordinating joing activities.
