The conference was organized by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany), and the University CLAEH (Uruguay).
The conference not only explored the ways in which think tanks make a difference and find solutions to contemporary political issues, but also how they can be increasingly relevant in these turbulent times. In addition, the conference centered on sharing effective strategies to attract funding, establishing key contacts, taking advantage of new technologies, and responding to growing public scrutiny and unease.
Hernán Alberro, Programs Director of CADAL, was invited to give his perspective as a panelist during the session, “Think Tanks and the Media: Collaboration or Competition?”
