Venezuelan. Journalist and doctor in Political Science. Senior Researcher at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB, Venezuela) between 2003 and 2020. Founder and director of Medianálisis, an organization dedicated to promoting independent journalism, and Cotejo.Info, the first fact-checking outlet in Venezuela. He writes regularly for the news and analysis portals El Estímulo and Diario de Cuba. He has been monitoring the migration issue with the initiatives Radio Migrante, which shows stories of the resilience of Venezuelan migrants in different parts of the world, and Monitor Migration, a window with data and news on the Venezuelan exodus. He has been linked to CADAL, since 2007, as an academic adviser.
